ACT Announces New Triple Crown with Autodrome Chaudiere

After weeks of speculation regarding the future of the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) in Quebec, officials today announced a new ACT Triple Crown series in partnership with Vallée-Jct., QC’s Autodrome Chaudiere for the 2018 season. The partnership ensures that ACT will remain in the province while offering an exciting new event for teams and fans on both sides of the border.

The flagship of the Triple Crown will be a 200-lap, $10,000-to-win Late Model event at Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday, August 18. The event will be sanctioned by ACT and does not currently conflict with any events on the ACT U.S. or Quebec Late Model schedules.

Thunder Road Speedbowl and American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials have announced the postponement of the Community Bank N.A. 150 due to poor ground conditions at the facility. The event has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 6 at 1:30pm.

 With just days remaining before the originally scheduled event date, Thunder Road is still feeling the effects of a seemingly never-ending winter. Despite the warmer conditions of the past few days, significant amounts of snow, water, and frost remain at the track, making it unpassable for teams and fans. With rain in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday that will likely worsen the situation, the decision was made to reschedule the event.

Thunder Road Set to Host New ACT Season Opener

The Community Bank N.A. 150 at Barre’s Thunder Road Speedbowl on Sunday, April 29 has gotten even bigger. With the NH Governor’s Cup at Lee USA Speedway recently postponed for a second time, the track’s 59th season opener will now also serve as the opening event for the American-Canadian Tour (ACT), adding further fanfare to the occasion.

The cars and stars of the ACT Late Model Tour will take on many of the weekly racers from the Maplewood/Irving Late Model division at the “Nation’s Site of Excitement” for nearly $30,000 in posted awards. Thunder Road has long been the “home track” for ACT and is sure to kick off the sanctioning body’s 33rd year of competition in style. And with every driver looking to start 2018 on a high note, a little extra intensity will surely be in the air.

American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Lee USA Speedway officials announced today that the 28thNew Hampshire Governor’s Cup has been postponed due to lingering snow from the past winter. The event has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 22 at 1:15pm.

The card of racing will remain the same, with the ACT Late Model Tour going 150 laps in their 33rdseason opener. Lee’s R&R Late Model Sportsmen and the Northeast Classic Lites will also be in action.

Payea Ready to Begin ACT Title Defense at Lee

After finally breaking through for his first American-Canadian Tour (ACT) championship in 2017, Colchester’s Scott Payea is ready to return to the fold in 2018. Payea and his Rick Paya–led RPM Motorsports/Harrison Redi-Mix team will begin their title defense at the season-opening New Hampshire Governor’s Cup on Sunday, April 15 at Lee USA Speedway.

Payea is coming off one the best ACT seasons in recent memory. The veteran won five of the nine events in 2017, including a series-record four straight. The effort earned him the championship after previously finishing second in the standings four times.

Série ACT Adds Second Event at Autodrome Chaudiere

Autodrome Chaudière officials announced today that an agreement has been reached with American-Canadian Tour (ACT) co-owner Cris Michaud and Serié ACT representative Marc-Patrick Roy to add a second event this season at the Vallée-Jonction, QC speedway.

Série ACT will now head to Autodrome Chaudiere, which is located in the Beauce region south of Quebec City, on Saturday, June 2 for a 125-lap event. The date comes in addition to their originally scheduled visit for Saturday, July 28.
