ACT Announces Schedule for 30th Late Model Tour Season

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced the 2021 schedule of events for the ACT Late Model Tour. Twelve point-counting events are slated for the Tour’s 30th season across nine tracks throughout New England and Quebec.

ACT will also sanction multiple big-money, non-point events throughout 2021. Highlights of the schedule includes six sanctioned events that pay at least $5,000 to win, six doubleheader events with the Pro All Stars Series (PASS), long-awaited returns to several tracks throughout the Northeast, and the renewal of one of ACT’s oldest events.

2020 ACT Late Model Tour Season: By the Numbers

0 — For the first time in recent memory, no driver completed every lap of the ACT Late Model Tour season. Jimmy Hebert came the closest, completing 1,394 of the 1,395 laps (he finished one lap down in the Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road).

2 — Hebert and Shaw did finish in the top-10 in every event, making them the only drivers to do so.

3 — For the third straight year, two rookies finished in the top-10 in driver points (Derek Gluchacki in 6th and Marcel J. Gravel in 7th).

Hello all,

As we write this, we’re a little more than a week past the season-ending ACT event at Oxford Plains Speedway. It was truly a season unlike any in the 35-year history of ACT. The COVID-19 pandemic hit almost every part of the world hard, and the Northeast wasn’t isolated from its effects. Simply getting the season underway was a challenge, and once it was, there was constant shuffling and changes that were often beyond our control.

Through it all, the never-ending dedication of our supporters is what made the season worthwhile. A lot of people went beyond the call of duty to make sure we could have a season, and we’re writing this letter to thank them.
