Rain Forces Change to Hickory Schedule for ACT and PASS
Hickory, NC — With an increase of rain in the central North Carolina area on Friday, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials have altered the schedule for the Easter Bunny Weekend of Speed at Hickory Motor Speedway. Both the St. Patrick’s Day program previously set for Friday and the Easter Bunny program set for Saturday will be combined for an epic one-day show on Saturday, March 18th and will feature twin 150 events for the PASS Super Late Models, twin 125 features for the ACT Tour and twin features for the Mighty Mini Stock Series. All racing events are cancelled for today, Friday March 17th at Hickory Motor Speedway but Pit Passes for Saturday’s epic twin programs will be available for teams from Noon to 2:00pm this afternoon at the Hickory pit building.
The Pit Area will open on Saturday morning at 7:00am with the Driver’s Meeting set for 8:45am. Rotating practice for PASS, ACT and the Mighty Minis will begin at 9:30am and end at 11:15am with the St. Patrick’s Day program originally scheduled for Friday set to begin promptly at 11:30am. The PASS St. Patrick’s Day 150, ACT St. Patrick’s Day 125 and the Mighty Mini features will follow heat race qualifying.
A twenty-minute break will follow the conclusion of the St. Patrick’s Day portion of Saturday’s racing events along with two rounds of practice for each division. Following the quick break and practice sessions, the Easter Bunny portion of the weekend will begin with heat race qualifying for PASS, ACT and the Mighty Minis. Features for all three divisions will follow to complete an epic single day, two program event at Hickory Motor Speedway.
The Northern Stars of the American-Canadian Tour, Pro All Stars Series and the Mighty Minis will compete for a double-dose of stock car racing action at the famed Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, North Carolina on Saturday, March 18th. Twin features for the PASS Super Late Models, ACT Tour and the Mighty Mini Series all go green on Saturday for an epic single day of stellar full-fendered racing.
