J.P. Sicard/Kingdom Gravel 151 Postponed to Sunday

The J.P. Sicard/Kingdom Gravel 151 at Groveton, NH’s Speedway 51 has been postponed to Sunday, July 15 at 1:00pm due to a Saturday forecast that has worsened considerably over the last 24 hours.

The pit gates for the rescheduled event will open at 8:00am. More scheduling information will be released as it becomes available.

The stars of the ACT Late Model Tour will now kick off the second half of its season on a Sunday afternoon. They will be joined by the track’s Tiger Sportsmen, Street Stocks, Daredevils, White Mountain Cyclones, and Lady Angels are also on the card. Admission is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and military, $10 for young adults ages 12-16 and free for kids ages 11 and under.

ACT Approves Chevy 602 Engine for Competition

American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced today that the Chevrolet CT350 “GM 602” crate engine has been approved for use by all ACT teams, effective immediately. The decision comes on the heels of a testing phase that saw multiple drivers have success behind the wheel of a 602-powered ACT Late Model.

ACT previously announced in February they would be testing the GM 602 engine in select events this season. During the testing period, Northfield, VT’s Matt White and Fayston, VT’s Brooks Clark ran multiple ACT Late Model Tour and Thunder Road Late Model events with a GM 602 powerplant under the hood.

ACT Loads Up for Second Round of Showdown Series

The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) makes its way to Connecticut’s New London-Waterford Speedbowl this Saturday, June 16 for round two of the ACT Summer Showdown Series. The New London-Waterford 150 will award the second $5,000 winner’s check of the 2018 season, meaning someone’s racing bank account is about to get a lot bigger.

The first round of the Showdown Series fittingly went to “The Outlaw”, as Rowley, MA’s Eddie MacDonald took home the big prize at Oxford Plains Speedway. A win on Saturday would make MacDonald eligible for an additional $5,000 should he sweep the three-race series, setting him up for an even bigger payday come September.
