Jimmy Renfrew Jr. Files First ACT Full Season Entry for 2022
/Barre, VT — The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) offices have received the first Full Season entry for the 2022 ACT Late Model Tour from Candia, New Hampshire’s Jimmy Renfrew Jr. This family lead team is ready to tackle the 13-race ACT schedule for the first time after a successful part-time venture in 2021.
The R&R Public Wholesalers team has been building up to this newest career crescendo, starting out modestly in 2019 by attending the two ACT dates at Oxford Plains Speedway. Further knowledge was gained in 2020 by adding the marquee Spring Green and Midsummer 250 at White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) alongside two more Oxford dates. 2021 was certainly Renfrew’s crowning achievement thus far.
The #00NH was in weekly competition at WMMP, where Renfrew earned a strong second in championship points along with two wins in the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models. Even that wasn’t enough for him, though. Renfrew also ran weekly in the Lee USA Speedway Street Stock division, where he earned the 2021 championship. Along with making starts at nearly every New England racetrack, in multiple divisions, Renfrew once again added to his ACT Late Model Tour resume. In ten starts, the R&R Wholesalers team earned their first ACT win at the Hudson 150 with 6 top-10’s and 4 top-5’s.
When asked about his goals, Renfrew responded, “I would like to consistently be in the top 10…if we can do that, and take advantage of the places we have shown speed [at] in the past, we can hopefully get another win this season.” While Quebec’s Autodrome Chaudiere and Autodrome Montmagny are absent from Renfrew’s notebook, he’s confident their homegrown New England set-ups will help pave the way for a strong ACT Points Championship run.
The 31st season of ACT Late Model Tour competition kicks off on Saturday, April 16 with the 2nd annual Northeast Classic at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The ACT Late Models, PASS Super Late Models and Modified Racing Series will go for Triple-50s along with the R&R Race Parts NH Street Stock Open Series, the Northeast Mini Stock Tour (NEMST), EXIT Realty Pro Truck Challenge and Limited Late Model Open.
Drivers who submit their full-season entries to the ACT offices in Barre, Vermont by March 18 will receive the discounted price of $700 — a 30 percent savings.
